Again UP politics is being warmed up
like anytime. The poll mela will be held around five months later next year and
our sincere and toilsome politicians have started the preparation for the mela -and
with their whole heartedness. Definitely it’s a matter of priority. It’s not
any common event unlike any common wealth games. It has to be completed on
schedule. The only task government does with sticking to time line. And all
parties give their 100% contribution in its achievement. What kind of gravity
this event so called ‘election’ has that every party and every single starting
from sadak chhap neta to Congress Yuvraaj shows their intense interest. Then
starts the endorsement of their capabilities and their future plans (which
remains untouched and are kept as it is to woo the
short-term-memory-lost-public in the next election) and in the same league of
endorsement, comes the word war among our revered politicians. Their dedication
shows up that their hard work forces sweat drops to appear at their forehead in
the cool breeze of winter in UP. How arduous they are. Our selfless
politicians!
And that preparation time just before
election takes me back to my childhood where Kamal ke fool wala billa (a badge
printed with lotus symbol) was the only point of attraction and posters,
banners, flags used to help in making something different kind of environment.
And apart form 15 august and 26 January those old rusted cassettes were again needed
to fill the air with playing of patriotic songs.
Mere desh ki
dharati sona ugale, ugale heere moti....mere desk ki dharti...
Or, Ae mere watan ke logo jara aankh mein bhar lo pani........
As I grew that kamal ke fool wala
billa has left behind and now main content of that drama is point of attraction
to me and here comes politics. How many people know what the primary role of
their elected MLA is? And who don’t know his secondary role? So I do. So let me
talk about my dear Vidhayak Ji elected from my assembly constituency. My dear
Vidhayak Ji is minister of Science and Technology. So public assumes it logical
he should own some technical institute. So now he owns. And second important
thing he did is that he has clearly defined the role of his son who helps his
father in his affairs. How ideal son he is! If someone needs to meet vidhayak
Ji , go through proper channel. If you need to some work get done then contact
Mr. Ideal son. Rates are fixed. Pay money and get work done. How helpful this
duet is. Atleast people are getting some work done. Is there any corner where
corruption has not accessed?
In the last 20 years I lived in UP I
hardly see any conspicuous differences which any of BJP, congress, BSP or SP
has made. It used to take 40 minutes for 10 km from my village to nearest town
10 years before and today it is also same. The only change which happened in
these 10 years that more people have now their own vehicles to commute. I don’t
say that there are no changes, but these are so slow that no government can be
credited for this. These changes seem to be natural since the life standards
and facilities we have achieved are because of biased disposition of nature
toward change. But when there is body having power to cause a stir of positive
changes in the society then public have expectant eyes over this body called
government for society-in-favour changes with fast pace .
And most interestingly it is the UP
politics. Anyone can have a feel of criticality and cruciality of UP politics the way congress Yuvraj needs
to take lift on bike, needs to work(he does it only for 10 minutes) in fields
with dalits, takes dinner at some dalit’s home and he feels the pain of Bhatta
Parsaul farmers which present UP government has given to. he never misses the
opportunity to ostentate himself as ‘Maseeha of farmers’ of UP. What about the
farmers in other part of country? Where he was when people were protesting
nuclear plant in Jaitapur. Anyways why should he go for jaitapur when there
seems no political advantage? UP politics is far away from the development
policy related issues. UP plays politics on casteism. One party supermo says “
main ek dalit ki beti” all the 21% UP dalits are pretty pleased with this
sentence. Now it comes cycle wala and 9% yadavs comfortably justify their vote
for cycle wala being a yadav. This cycle wala also able to attract a
considerable portion of 18% Muslims by showing that he is the only non muslim
who cares for their religion in non-secular UP. And here Kamal fails to woo11%
pandit and 11%rajput who also have been trapped in the mayjaal of Bahinji
considerably. I wonder which caste congress will target? Or it will target its
caste! Corruption!
Congress Yuvraj is screaming ‘vote
for congress’ all around in UP but he should be aware that elephant is stronger
enough that congress slap at its ass does not able to push it by an inch or
two. Mr. Yuvraj elephant is controlled from its top where Bahinji has put her
arse as strong as 'fevicol ka jod'. You just take some bike lift from Delhi and
watch elephant dance in UP from Agra to Banaras. It’s the best business you
suit for.
